George Barclay ANTHONY b. 1867

Hi - i'm trying to trace any relatives of George Barclay Anthony b.31st Jan 1867 in Scotland.

He emigrated to Australia - it could be him on a 1913 passenger list but i dont have any other information.

The family story is that a relation of his came back to Scotland for a visit in the 1960's.

Any help would be appreciated thanks.

If so can you give us any idea what state of Australia he was in & his parents names?

I'm interested in any information at all on where he went and his family.

Unfortunately i've have no other information on where he went in Australia - other than finding a passenger manifest with a George Anthony on it sailing from London to Sydney in 1913 which may or may not be him as it doesnt have any date of birth on it. The ship was the Orama and it arrived in Sydney on 27th March 1913.

Its not much to go on - but any help would be appreciated.

George Barclay Anthonys father was John Anthony 1833-1899 and mother was Elizabeth Barclay b 1841. All born in Scotland.

I have a John Anthony in my tree.  John b 1833 in Midlothian, Scotland d 1899 in Dunbartonshire.  Married Elizabeth Barclay and had the following children:  Susan b 1858, Agnes b 1861, William b1864, George b 1868?, Susan b1870, John b1873, Janet b1878, Catherine b 1881, John b1882, Jeanie b1884 and Mary b1888, all born in Scotland
