Thanks so much for the Latin probate, Roger!  I've just been skipping the Latin bits in the wills, but now I'm going to attempt (with the help of this sheet) to translate them.

Also, thanks for following up with "hogges."   :)   (I'm getting quite an interesting education while I'm learning to transcribe old wills.)

Line 12, think this is 'kine', not kind i.e. cattle and the 'praised' is probably appraised i.e. valued by a dealer etc

Bridget, You will find they are all so strikingly similar they become boring, that's why I had the sheet done.
Ermy, Still not sure about kine or kind, as in the bible, regarding the appraisal see my lengthy posting above (reply No.30), we are in agreement on this.
