Mary Elizabeth PHILPOTT

Hi I am looking for information on Mary Elizabeth Philpott born abt 1812 in Hawkhurst.( I think).
 She married Stephan Small in 1841 then emmigrated to New South Wales around 1849. They had 3 children born in England.

I am looking to trace backwards if anyone can help, with either her or Stephan Small.

her marriage cert would tell you the fathers names and occupations
and the witnesses names could come in handy especially if they have the same surname as her or him

i think they married on 17 Oct 1841 maybe in Middlesex. I live in NZ where she brought her children later on after Australia. I am unsure how to find the ref number to order marriage cert.

Hi,

I've just added Stephen Small to my family tree. His step-father was a John Kingshott, who was my 1st cousin 5 times removed. He was baptised in Bramshott, Hampshire on 28th February 1819, the second of two illegitimate children born to Mary Small. Mary went on to marry John Kingshott in 1821 and brought the two illegitimate children up as his own. I don't know, at this stage, whether or not John Kingshott was the father.

I'd love to fill in some of the details of descendants of this family.
