Jane is marked as "daug"(daughter) twice ... David is an apprentice mechanic.  Can't make out the address yet, sorry.
I live in Sydney, Australia, and I'm researching: Powell, Tatham, Dunbar, Dixon, Mackwood, Kinnear, Mitchell, Morgan, Delves, & Anderson

Hi

The address is 1 Norfolk Court.  The end is quite clear - have seen that form of 'k' many times, very open alomst looking like an H.  The N is initially formed in a similar way to capital M's on the page.

Jane's birthplace is Mearns -----------?   The second word looks like :
either "Patrick" (intending Partick?)
or "Parish" which has been written over the top of another word that was started but not finished.

I am inclined to think the latter - ie: Parish . The end looks like "rish" written elsewhere (and the end does not look like a k if comparing to the last letter of the address).

Mearns is a Parish in Renfrew, containing the village of Newton Mearns (ref: Genuki)

Cheers

Just to add....

John the head of the family:  his pob is written as Abbey Parish - the top of the y is faded or hasn't copied well, but the tail is there.   This is probably Abbey in Renfrew, or Abbey Paisley?

The 4 sons, are written as born in Govan....

You are all wonderful, thank you lots. I'm just writing up this family and I can't do it without these things.
