I am trying to find out the names of electoral districts in Edinburgh, as they were at the time of the 1841 Census.

Hi Jenny

Edinburgh was a single constituency, electing one member, until 1832.  From then, until 1885, it remained a single constituency, but elected 2 members.

Midlothian: Adam(s), Meikle/Muckle
Leith: Bridges
Edinburgh: Brown
Prestonpans: Bird, Inglis
Fife: Wemyss
Orkney: Brock
Ireland: Sweeney
