Hi Peter
I am researching WW2 POW camp Oflag 12B. The Padre at that camp was Hugh Peter Laurence. Is this the same person?
I would appreciate being able to communicate with his decendants if this is the case.

Welcome back, and since you posted this way back in 2010, The Times Archive through your library card should be available upto 2010 now.

A notice was placed on 20th October 1987.

I used my library card so any link I post won't work but the notice is on page 15 of issue 62904 of 20 October 1987

If you access the Times Archive with your libray card and do an advanced search, look for Laurence on 20 October 1987 and you get 3 results. Select the one in Births Marriages Deaths

I initially did a more widespread search and got a lot of hits I had to narrow down to find the exact entry. The search is quite picky and wont find the entry if you search for his full name in the sequence Hugh Peter Laurence.
