John Sutherland born abt 1844 in Wick

Hi I have hit a very solid brick wall with my John Sutherland. He arrived in Australia as crew on the Star of the Sea in 1876. What I do have are his parents as listed on his 1887 Australian marriage certificate father was Daniel Sutherland - sailor and mother Ann Blanche....(no surname listed). John was from Wick and he was 43.
I have tried Scotlands People for his birth and parents marriage but have come up blank, now I do not know where to look next. I would like to be able to confirm John's details and see if there were any siblings.  Any help would be greatly appreciated. Lynne

I find it hard to understand Scottish Census, but all the Children have Great Grandchild then (Grandchild) in brackets. All are indexed as Mother Ann Blance.

John BLANCE is born c 1769 according to the 1851 Census; possble Christening from IGI, 01 July 1770 Mid and South Yell, Shetland,  to OLIVER Blance.

1861 census Ann Blance is a Wool Spinner living alone.
EDIT;
She is still alive 1871/1881 where she is born c 1810.
The Family Tree I found and posted info below has her dying 05 February 1893, Yell.
It does not appear that she married any of the Fathers of her Children.

Just found a Family Tree with Ann on it.
They have Donald Sutherland 1815-1842, no extra info on him.

At least Lynne she named the Children after their Fathers
