Hi All,
Sorry I couldn't make it this weekend as it was my Birthday and had a few friends round for a wee drink, but will definately make it next time! You're all doing a fantastic job and at this rate the project will be finished in no time. The 5th is fine for me, hope the weather is.

Hi All,

The website was not asked to be removed by myself, as origianlly stated on post and then amended.

The project is as always quoted 'General Cemetery Transcription Project'

I apologised for not having noticed the 'name' but when others asked us why it was called what is was, I asked for the name to be changed. We asked for the website to be about the 'General Cem' but things were going off track.

This project is only 'The General Cemetery', as said on day one at the Cem, if this project was completed to everyones satisifaction  the Council said they couldn't see a problem with us doing other Manchester Council owned cemeteries.  But this isn't completed and we didn't want to give incorrect info.

I am quite happy to continue with this project until finished.  All advise has been taken onboard and I have used and taken with me to the Meetings to help us get our project going.  Any input is welcome and ALL is shared and posted, (except the writing of the letters to organizations- this would just bore some). But we always update board to keep everyone informed.

No one and nothing matters except getting the job done, end of.

Now an update: :)

Sorry for not amending the title bar with the next date!!!
I will be hopefully, going to show a part example page of the data base, so everyone can see what it is going to be like and if anyone can give any advise for improvement etc., as always all welcome!!

I am trying to change my plans to get to the Cem on the 5th, as always all help is  welcome.  The more done, the quicker it is recorded. ;D

Thanks Cancan :)

See you all there on the 5th Dec, looking forward to getting more 155 done on the last visit, less digging, more pics & transcribing hopefully. I think the snow will hit us next month, then it would get a bit messy.

Maybe we could ask for a Lotto Grant & if the request is granted, we could have monies ready for the Main project next year, ideas on how we would use it would be welcome.

Repairing Walls.
New Fencing.
Stone cleaning materials maybe.
Curb stones placed around Grave stones when laid flat etc etc.
Any ideas at all.

See you on the 5th. Regards Spatts.
