Which location is the trial run to take place? We too are worried about parking and causing an obstruction but I wondered if the paths  which run off the main drive shown on the map I have are suitable for parking? My husband is not always able to walk very far- we have a disabled badge - but we would not want to block anyone in, at the same time me would like to have the car in view.   . We could bring the dog but it seems rather disrespectful ,although the last time we visited which was well over ten years ago there were one or two dog walkers there as well as some very "iffy" characters! We`ll be better able to decide when we get there. Viktoria.

Hi,

As Ken says it's not a great place for Cars, I think our idea is to start at the back and work our way forward (towards the front) as this is the worst part.  So possibly park on path inside until everyone arrives and all drive down to the back together and see then how things are!!

No matter how much we want this done, no one or their cars are to be put at any risk!!!

Hopefully as Sunday morning any unsavoury's are still abed till later.

Nice to hear you'll be there!!

Cancan :)

I had a great time, lovely to meet everyone!  :D :D :D :D

We drove to Boggart Hole Clough afterwards for my much-needed loo break, as I'd never been there before - so I've had a fantastic day, thank you for organising it Cancan! hope you can read my writing on the sheets

It all seemed to go really well, I'm certainly up for another go - can't think of any improvements apart from taking a trowel next time to uncover some of the moss on the flat graves

Hi cancan & all, it was good to meet you all, the weather was great & enjoyed the day, it was very interesting to transcribe the stones, some tell their own story. Looking forward to the next visit, hope to get more done next time, bringing a trowel & brush next time, just give me a shout, regards Spatts.
