I've had a look in an online book with the search term:
"Irish Surnames"
http://www.archive.org/Only one result which was; ... for the guidance of Registration Office .....
I opened the book & searched for "Blox" ;
two surnames were listed, which were "Bloxham" and "Bloxsom"
