I'm trying to find the connection between two Seagoe Parish families who emigrated to Pukekohe, NZ.
John HART and Mary Ann (nee McMURRAY) from Ballygargan arrived in 1865.
George WILSON and Judith (nee HENRY) from Ballymacrandal/Ballymacrandle/Ballymacrander etc. (neighbouring townland to Ballygargan) arrived in 1880.
The HART and WILSON children knew each other as "second cousins", so a parent (or perhpas grandparent) from each of these couples must have been first cousins. But which two? And how were they cousins?
I know nothing about the parents of John HART and Mary Ann McMURRAY, but I do have some information on those of George WILSON and Judith HENRY.
George's parents were George WILSON (whose mother was a CALVERT) and Sophia BRADSHAW m. 3 Sep 1835 in Seagoe. They had at least two children, George (the one who emigrated to Pukekohe) and James who kept farming in Ballymacrandle, where he and his wife (Sarah SOMERVILLE) had at least one son, Joseph, (b. 13 March 1875).
Judith HENRY was born in Lylo, the daughter of William HENRY, and grand-daughter of Rev Robert HENRY and Sarah (nee HARRISON) of Seagoe Parish
Her mother was Elizabeth TWYNEM, daughter of James TWYNEM and Ann (nee HAYES).
Are you able to add anything that might get me closer to solving this one?
Many thanks.
