Trying to find details on the Marriage and so on of  Robert James Cregan showing on 1911 census living in Queensland Ballyvoloon married to Mary Ann with six children.  Robert born in Belfast was Chief Signalman Royal Navy aged 38 years.

Navy Number 150879.

Any info appreciated in advance.

It's actually Ballyvoloon townland, in the electoral district of Queenstown - now called Cobh.

Mary Anne and the children are all born in Co. Cork so that looks like the best place to search for a marriage.

This looks like a good match from the BMD Index :

 Name: Robert James Cregan
 Registration District: Cork
 Event Type: Marriage
Quarter and Year: Jan - Mar 1901
 volume Number: 5 / page : 137

here's a link for reference : Cregan Family 1911 census

Thank you so much Shane appreciate it I will be able to move forward now.  His Brother Daniel was Superintendant of Antrim Coast Guard.  Seems they were all Naval Men.

I have seen it earlier today seaweed and printed it off.  I will  send for the Service records of Robert and his two Brothers on of which was Superintendant of Glenarm Coast Guard Station.

The other Daniel was the Longest Serving Member of The Merchant Navy and was awarded The British Empire Medal at Buckingham Palace.  All born in Co Down Ballymacarret.
