Hi dave

Don't worry....

we encourage all new members to take a few moments to read our guidelines for posting here

http://www.rootschat.com/help/posting_guide.php

There is a 'copyright' link at the bottom of this page in the brown section, left hand column.

Generally, as long as you transcibe what you see in the images and do not copy and paste from search results, you should be fine.

We do not allow look-up requests for the 1911 census, but you can post your findings if you are the originator of the topic and you have paid for the 1911 census information you are posting which refers to your family and own research.

The census copyright clause is built into your avatar and user name/profile.

If you chose to edit that, then please put the clause in your surname interests.
(compare the look of my avatar and surname interests with your own)

Hope this helps.

Dawn

Hello I am sorry but I am still in the same boat not sure about what happened to John and Sarah just got the son Joseph Rawlings Hay and still no idea where the Rawlings comes into it. Joseph died young and left a widow and son who also died young leaving a widow and two children. Full tree on Ancestry under Hay.

Nice to hear from you not been doing F.H. for some time.

Regards

Hi Perro.

I think that my ancestor is probably your Elizabeth Hay on your tree. I have a written confirmation that her parents are John/Sarah Hay and a Somers Town / St Mary Le Strand link.  Complicated a bit because she is listed as Elizabeth Thrower although she never married Charles Thrower. All her children are registered in GRO as Thrower nee hay and were strangely  :) baptised out of their parish as Thrower. However three of her children went into the workhouse after 1862 and are traced under Hay name and I have written evidence from one child stating his name as Hay and that he was known as Thrower.

I lost her after 1862, maybe she is with the rest of the Hay family ?

I have been working on another bit of the tree and have seen there is a bit of a mix up with Henry J Rawlings Hay as he appears mostly as just Henry it appears some have got his wife as Louise and others Elizabeth so more to sort out.
