Hi

My mother went to at Bernards Industrial school in the 60's she actually passed away recently, I believe she never recovered from her time there... awful to think what she must have gone through. Anyway if anyone can help me with info about what it was like at the school.. perhaps you knew her "Alice Maher".. also I am interested in obtaining records

Hi Borgia, my mum and sisters were here from the early 50's until the mid 60's. 2 have passed away, my mother, Anne McEvoy and Lena (Eileen) McEvoy. Would you have any information about them at all? Sorry, it was a loooooong time ago :-)

I was in the convent from 1945 -1960, let me know if I can help.

My mother-in-law passed away last month. She went to St Bernard industrial school from around 1934 to 1950. Her surname Walshe. We are trying to reconstruct the past, since she barely spoke about it. We woukd appreciate any information  that you can give us. Thank you

Hi Globet,
I'm very interested in this Industrial School in Dundrum as some of my relations were also put in there due to family circumstances.  Do you have any more info on school?  or who to contact to find out any info there may be in registers etc?  Life must have been very difficult and lonely for the children.
Thanks  :)

I was in dundrum from i1945 till 1960let me know if I can help.
