Hello, I am keen to learn more about William Charteris and William John Charteris, Artist and Carman if you are willing o share. C

I am new to this excellent forum and came across this thread by chance.
I realise that this is an old thread, but William John Charteris was my grandfather (married to Ada Alice Rowe), so of great interest.
Much as has been said above, I have traced his father (also William Charteris, with the profession 'Artist'). I also have the marriage certificate for William Charteris and Emily Scott, dated 1885 in Bethnal Green.
I am currently pursuing this line, and any information would be gratefully received.
I have only recently begun researching my family tree seriously (a somewhat 'leisurely' attempt some while ago). I have taken Ada Rowe's family back to 1700's... less confusing than my grandfather's line).
