Heward Burials Ealing

Hi All,

I have been going around in circles for over 1 week now! One service sends me to another and then that one sends me back to the first one and then no one answers me! If my hair was not already short it would be with big hairless patches!

I am trying to find the burial location of 2 sisters who died within 8 days of one another:

Annie Elizabeth Heward, age 38
died at her residence, 76 The Avenue West, Ealing, on 22 March 1920

and her sister

Emma HEWARD, age 40 years
died at her residence, 76 The Avenue West, Ealing, on 30 March 1920

Next of Kin would be their mother, Emma Elizabeth HEWARD

There was not much money so I doubt there is a tombstone.

I know these cemeteries exist in the area: Acton, Greenford Park and South Ealing.

Can anyone assist me, please?

They don't appear to buried in a churchyard, so the next step would be to contact the cemeteries dept at Ealing Council.

I would send them an email (2nd link) so you have something in writing, with the full names, dates of death and last known addresses (which you already have, a lot of people only have the year and quarter which is no good)

Their research charges seem to be astronomically steep (£152.75), but hopefully it won't come to that.

Just had a look at my 1937 road map and the address appears the be The Avenue, West Ealing not as you have it.

The 2 cemeteries at Hanwell (Kensington & Westminster) and Gunnersbury are situated a lot nearer, but don't belong to Ealing borough. South Ealing would then be the next closest.

hello flame keeper
old Brentford cem had land added on to its buriel area & is in the ealing boundrys its  on Ealing road south.
its around 22 acrs in size & is known locally as old Brentford South Ealing cem, it was in use long beford 1920 & is still taking buriels today the phone number on the board is 0208/825/ 6030  i have found them to be most helpful in the past.
