My father served in second world war he was in the, york and lancaster brigade he ended up in burmah, if anyone knows of this brigade get in touch please.

There were 6 Battalions of the York & Lancaster Regiment posted to Burma.

There is a regimental museum as well.

your best start would be to write to the records people and ask for a copy of his service history, from that you can pretty much trace his movements.

I have an ancester that was killed in Burma and played an active roll
in the infamous "Battle of the TennisCourts", so I have some very specific
reference resources, regarding the war in Burma.
