Hi Everyone

Well, I found all the graves for you guys and not one of them had a headstone - not one! I did take photos of the plots anyway and will pop them on here later (at work at mo).

Ceeoh, I must apologise - the 2 cemeteries are indeed seperate! I had only ever used the pathway that links them underneath the road so had assumed they were one big cemetery but from the roadside it's obvious they are seperate! I took photos of both and will also upload them later.

Meles, no Gambles I'm afraid, I did look as much as I could and would have loved to have found at least one for you!

Will pop the photos on here later as I don't think it's possible to send them in private messages?

Many thanks Sharon, will log on later to have a look. I have discovered how to download the pic from the topic to my computer (learn something every day!) so it is no problem posting it on here.

It has been my lucky week as another rootschatter has discovered my great grandmother's death notice in the Northern Echo.

Wonderful folk these rootschatters, always much appreciated.

Photos, still disappointed there were no headstones! First two are grave site of John Porteous and also a headstone for an Anne Porteous I came across.

Next photo is the site of the Edmond Browns plots in SOuth Terrace. 2-26 is the gap between the nearest headstones and 5-27 is next to the broken cross headstone towards the back of the photo.
