I found Rootschat after receiving a message from someone I had corresponded with on TalkingScot telling me their server had gone out of business and directing me here to check for updates.
Summer and some health issues interfered and I've only just started exploring here.

My aunt told me about this site a few months back and have become very addicted to it lol
The surnames, which I am interested in are; Maternal side: Ryan, Kevin, Grant, Grady, Gleeson, Walsh, Dwyer, Paternal side: O' Dwyer, Woodlock, Rochford & Britton - all in Tipperary; and Kelly and Hoynes in Laois.

Ryan, Campbell, Luttrell, Grant, Grahame, Bainbridge and Brown in Queensland, Australia

Tighe in Victoria, Australia.

Grant in Philadelphia, Sullivan and Penny in New York; and Britton in Connecticut

Hello all,i typed in a general search for my surname,and our original home area of Carlow,Ireland,and up popped rootschat,and there i found others looking for the same origins as i was, this was a great start for me.Great site i love the fact that everyone is so helpful and willing to give guidance,do look ups and generally be friendly and helpful.Again a great sight.

I work in a Cemetery , and i was locating some graves for a visitor.

Heavens I cant remember now think a lady from Canada researching the McColls told me about it. It is wonderful and I have found some very helpful people on here thanks to you all. A special mention to Peter Cornish who PMd me about a convict of mine.

 I was told about the site from another member some time ago, its been very usefull, found lots of info, a very good site, lots of ok people, just a case of asking the right question, somebody is bound to know..more members on board the more the greater of ....if I do not know I know somebody who does.......mick
