Thanks old rowley, I hope that I will do this soon and so far rootschat seems to be a friendly forum.
I am researching the Franklin, Samuel's, Jessel's. Waleys and Sassoon's among other many branches of my family.
I am also related to the bio-scientist Rosalind Franklin, who discovered the Single DNA Helix structure in 1953. But one of my main regrets in my life is that I never met this talented lady, who died at the young age of 37 in 1958 !!

I was bumbling around on another website and someone suggested I should join Rootschat as you are all very nice and helpful!    I can't even remember which website it was!   I wonder if they wanted to get rid of me ........!    Anyway, I am glad I joined and to all who have helped me a big grateful thankyou.

I have a few members of the Franklins, who died in the First World War
they will be  a problem because I've forgotten the right site that I found for the Commonwealth War Graves information.

I use Google for most of my searches and books etc.

Yes thanks Geoff this is the very site that I had forgotten about but now I've saved it to my PC. So it'll be easy to find again when
I need it. I will have a good look around the forum over the coming days.  8)

Try the Armed Forces board.  It has a child board for World War I which may be an appropriate place to put your query.

concern a 36 year old. So what does a child board have to do with the
