I only joined this morning and last night, a friend passed me this
forum's name onto me, so I googled it and I saved the site's
address link.
I started researching into my rather big family's tree/genealogy
work/hobby.
They consist mainly of the Franklin's, Samuel's, Waley's, Jessels
and Montagu's too.
It has kept me busy ever since I started this
about 4 months ago, Every day more of less.
I am researching the Franklin, Samuel's, Jessel's. Waleys and Sassoon's among other many branches of my family.
I am also related to the bio-scientist Rosalind Franklin, who discovered the Single DNA Helix structure in 1953. But one of my main regrets in my life is that I never met this talented lady, who died at the young age of 37 in 1958 !!
The avatar's of my paternal grandmother, K. Jessel.
It is fun doing this amount of research.

Hi Rosalind, and welcome to rootschat. Do not forget that once you have spun around the boards have a look in at the chat room where members can also help out (sometimes, it seems instantly). It can be a bit daunting going in there for the first time but once you get used to it, it does become easier. Enjoy your time on here as the natives don't bite
and are very friendly.
