« on: Tuesday 31 August 10 10:15 BST (UK) »
All efforts to find a spouse for Elizabeth CHINNOCK whose marriage is recorded in Shepton Mallet District, June Quarter 1839 (10/717) have failed.   Could some kind person with access to Parish Registers search for details.

Many thanks in advance.    Regards   ...   Peter

I think the missing groom is George Phillips 10 77 and the expected page range for this district is 705 to 738
There are only seven names for 10 717, instead of eight, three males and four females

Just to say that there were 25 Parishes in the Shepton Mallet registration district,
Ashwick, Babington, Batcombe, Binegar, East Cranmore, West Cranmore, Croscombe, Ditcheat , Doulting, Downhead, Emborough, Evercreech, Holcombe, Hornblotton, Lamyat, East Lydford, West Lydford, Milton Clevedon, East Pennard, Pilton, Pylie, Shepton Mallet, Stoke Lane or Stoke St Michael, Stratton-on-the-Fosse, Upton Noble.
that is assuming they were married in an Anglican church and not in a Non-Conformist Chapel or in a Register Office.

An Elizabeth Chinnock was baptised in 1817 and another in 1818 in Ditcheat so perhaps this parish is a good place to start?

Hi Juniperus,

Many thanks for the baptism details.  Ditcheat would make a good starting place, followed by Ss Peter & Paul, Shepton Mallet, where the possible groom was buried in 1852.
