Searching for Rebecca Perry
« on: Monday 30 August 10 12:04 BST (UK) »
Just starting out on this search to fill in holes that have appeared with the family history.
I'm looking for anything relating to part of my family from Sandwich in Kent, England. I have some basic information but I'm trying to expand this to marry up with the rest of the family tree.

My GGGG Grandmother halied from Kent. Her name was Rebecca Perry and from the record that I have obtained (Death Certificate/Registration) and other bits and pieces, Rebecca was born in Sandwich,Kent 1st March 1802. Her parents supposedly where a James Perry and Sarah (surname unknown). James Perry appears to have been born in 1780 in Kent and died in 1839 also in Kent. Little or none is known of Sarah. Rebecca married a John Grills at Sandwich, Kent 18th September 1824 and then emigrated to Australia, arriving 16 September 1825. From this date I have filled most of the history. It is leading upto and prior that I'm after. ???

Anyone having even the littlest bits of information on the Perry History in Sandwich, Kent would be certainly a step in the right direction.

Hopefully, by throwing in a line I might be able to snag some information.

Regards
Camdenite.

Wow! :o
That was quick! The fishing is pretty good in this part of the pond.

Thank you very much on such a rapid reply, I was expecting maybe tomorrow but this is fantastic.

Hopefully, I might be able to track down Sarah's Maiden Name from the info supplied thus far.

Again, thanks heaps.

I'm looking for information on John Grills who married Rebecca Perry in 1824 in Sandwich Kent.  I think we are researching the same Grills family  :)
