Hi George4 & Yozzer
The 3 of us share a common line in GGG grandparents. I've done a lot of research recently and uncovered loads of facts on all of the children of John & Hannah Phillips. I've also have had some fantastic help form 2 experienced members of this site. So if you need any info I'd be happy to share with you and vice versa.
I found that John died in June 1890, aged 90, he spent the last few years living with Mary Ann Allen (his daughter) and Edward Allen. It looks like Hannah's maiden name was Pountain and they were married 3.9.1827.
Fascinating stuff. I will make that trip up to Hanbury one day and get some photos!

Assuming it's not totally "hissing" down on Saturday, I'll try and make the trip to Hanbury and find the headstone AND take some photographs.  It's only about 25 miles from where I live in Tamworth.

Mission accomplished  ;D ;D  If you send me your e-mail address, via PM, I'll send full-sized copies of the headstone and its location within the churchyard.  For those who need to know, the headstone is propped against the wall, in the extended burial ground, just under the tree, with two large tombstones (one belonging to a past vicar of St Werburgh) within the original churchyard on the other side of the wall.

That is fantastic!!  :) Thank you so much. What can I say, your generosity to travel that far and get such brilliant, clear photos is greatly appreciated. I haven't seen a post from George4, I PM'd him but haven't heard back.
To see this headstone is quite humbling, mother & daughter buried together. She was only 11.
I hope to make the 'pilgrimage' from Kent to Hanbury area one day and perhaps I could buy you lunch to say thank you!

Many thanks for your kind words, Pete.   :-[  I just like to help people, AND I'm nosey  :o  I've never been to Hanbury before, so took the opportunity.  I have to admit though, that I was 3/4 of the way there, when I realised that I had forgotten the camera  ::)  So turned round, came home, picked it up and returned!  It's a lovely little village, and was worth the journey.
