Help Rynharts
« on: Thursday 26 August 10 14:55 BST (UK) »
Me again  ;D

The Rynharts are/were Church of Ireland.

My Grandfather Henry (Harry) married my grandmother Ellen (Nellie) Nowlan.

My grandfathers name was Thomas and he had two sisters called Florence and Matilda (who died in infancy).

Thomas walked out on my grandfather when he was 4 and moved to Canada.  He turned about 50 years later with no money looking for somewhere to live.

My Grandfather discovered a half brother James from New Ross - Thomas had been married previously and had walked on that family too.

I am trying to find my Grandfather mothers name.  Henry was born in 1919.  Thomas married his mother in 1918 in Gorey. The previous marriage was in 1914 in New Ross and that ladies name was M. Grothier

Hi welcome to Rootschat.

Have you looked under different spellings of both names.
Rineheart, Rinehart, Reinhart.  just a few suggestions

Nowlan, Nolan or Noland.  Do you know when Thomas died.  Maybe obtain a death cert for him first and take a note of the peoples name on his death cert and any addresses etc. It may state who his parents were, district or parish.

thanks, Thomas was born around 1896 in Wexford and died around 1967 in Bray, County Wicklow.

His parents were Robert Rynhart B: 1857 - D: 1935 and Susan Rynhart (nee Rynhart) B: 1859 and D: between 1901 - 1911.  They were married in approx. 1881

Hello, I'd appreciate if you can contact me. I'm researching my Rynhart connections in Wexford and plotting out the families. I had already come across the likely double marriage of Thomas Edward Rynhart, presumed Mary Grothier had died but seems not. I had also spotted some discontinuity in his parents family - seem to live in different places in 1911. But I'm confused!! And rather than just guessing who is whose parent, better to chat. By way, I see you were also looking for info on Clonegal. I live near here but we'd be 'blow ins' of about 20 years. If you get this, contact me if you wish and I'll send you my email, rgds Barry

Edited to add: as far as I can see Henry William born 1919 and married to Ellen Nowlan - his father was Thomas Edward born 1893 and married (Emily) Jane Walker in 1918 - second marriage. Thomas's parents were Robert R & Susan Tully. I think Jane Walker was born 1897 and died 1942 but you'd know more of that end of things. It was Henry who had sisters Florence & Matilda, I'm fairly sure and I'm curious re Florence - did she marry Edward Victor Plunkett, born Carlow? There was an Ed Plunkett in Clonegal but his wife and family look very different?? Still run the shop there as I'm sure you know.
