Is this them in the 1881 census of Great Baddow Essex (maybe they went to Truro later ?) - the ages are spot on.

RG11; Piece: 1767; Folio: 15; Page: 5

William Wellington 29 Head of Household born Cornwall St Austell: a Wheelwright
Elizabeth Wellington 25 Wife born Cornwall Little Polporth??
William H. Wellington 2 son ditto
Maryann Wellington   dau born Yorks, Huddersfield

There is another St Austell Wellington family next door ... Henry, an Innkeeper / Blacksmith

Added: No, still in Great Baddow 1891 and 1901.

Cant see a marriage either.

only candidate in the 1861 census of Redruth:

RG9; Piece: 1579; Folio: 16; Page: 25 (Bullers Row street address)

William Pascoe 34 WIDOWER Head of Household born Cornwall, Wendron: Bankers Clerk & Local Methodist Preacher
Eliza Pascoe 5 Dau born Redruth
William Pascoe 3 son ditto
James Pascoe 2 son ditto
John Pascoe 1 son ditto

Mary Winn 65 Servant
Mary J Gray 17 Servant

Too many female Pascoes dying in the 1860/61 period in the Redruth Reg Dist to take a stab at wifes name - searching a marriage might be easier ..... but suggest obtaining Eliza's(or a siblings) Birth Cert to reveal her Mothers names.

PS. LOL, she married an Abraham !

Marriages Jun 1879

Couch  Charlotte    Truro  5c 205
Luly  John     Truro  5c 205
PASCOE  Eliza     Truro  5c 205
WELLINGTON  Abraham Hockin     Truro  5c 205

Hi both  :)

Is her hubby definitively William and not Abraham, Lamwell? (I had a look at your past posts)

If so then this would be the family in 1881
http://search.ancestry.co.uk/cgi-bin/sse.dll?db=uki1881&indiv=try&h=1976462

There's a John Pascoe age 21 visiting - possibly Eliza's brother who'd help us trace back to a family with parents William and Amelia in 1871 (RG10/2282 26 14)

Can you confirm Eliza's husband's name?

Hello Mort29, and Tati
I am just trying to recover from the dreaded Wog, and thought i would fill in time on the computer and rootschat, but my mind was not thinking correctly.
I said Eliza Pascoe married William Hocking------very wrong, it should be Abraham Hocking wellington. My father used to say Hocking, but the relatives name is Hockin.
It never ceases to amaze me how helpful people like you are in looking up info, thank you very much
I think you have the right marriage,Mort29
I hope my mistake didn't cause you too much trouble
Many thanks Lamwell

Amelia is not Eliza's mother - see earlier 1861 census of Truro.  ;)

Hello Mort29 & Tati
Looking at the 1861 census, William Pascoe was a Widower, with Eliza 5
In the 1871 census he appears to be married to Amelia with Eliza now 15
seems to be the same family but with a new wife, and William still a bankers clerk
You have done very well, thank you
Best wishes
Lamwell
