Thanks for your reply, i have a Richard Errington going back to 1790 at Lamesley, he married Jane Douglas in 1790. Richard Died at Sea in 1795, this all i have.
The Richard Errington in Sunderland owned a Factory there in the 1850's maybe there is a link.

 My ancestor was George ERRINGTON bp.12 Mar 1858 s/o William  bp 1828 Scremmerson and Mary Martha Nee SNOWBALL abt 1833 Felling Shore. Possible parents Anthonii and Mariae  nee PEARSON

My Great Grandmother Ada Wager married a James Errington in 1910. They were married in Deptford, Sunderland. James Errington was 34 in the 1911 census record - Do you have a record of him - is he related to the brass founders? ::)

I think he may have been related to Richard Errington the Brass founder.

the 1911 census records them as living in Wellington Lane which lead to Ayre's Quay. He occupation is labourer.
