Also he would have been of an age to have served WW1 so maybe Military Records.
I looked just for George Back born c 1891 +/- 1yr in 1911 and there are only 5 possibilities one in the Military.
Maybe worth you trying for Beck as well.
Sorry not much help and I cant think of any other ways to search for him.

Trish :)

EDIt  put 7, should have been 5

Thanks Trish, I am now thinking Mary & John are the right ones, or they seem to fit the picture, I didn't notice the same address on the census 1871 & 1891, probably was going cross eyed by that stage, so they had in total 7 children, Emily, Anne, Annie, Flora, William, Mary & George, seems like the older girls left or married by 1891

there's no middle name for George in the census, though that could be an oversight

I'll do some more checking but it's looking more hopefull now

regards,

James
( I might get a birth certificate for George )

Hi James,
If it is your George this might be his Birth Reg;
George BACK, Sept 1888, Sevenoaks, 2a 605

Another possible first marriage for George might be in Dec 1915 to Emily EADE, Bromley, 2a 1491
Death Reg Emily BACK, June 1916, Bromley, 2a 628, Age 22

Firstly I would check all the ones on the 1911 Census if you have the money.

Trish :)

thanks for the help Trish, it's given me more leads to follow, I did notice the marriage of G.F.Back in 1922 to Gertrude Stone, didn't see the death though, there's another G.F.Back marriage to a Elizabeth Ellis in 1909, she died in 1917, these ones are at Depwade, Norfolk, further investigation with some certificates should narrow things down ( I hope )

all these early deaths is a bit of a worry, sort of get suspicious  ;D

regards

James

Excellent Jool ;D
The second one looks interesting as John and Mary have a Daughter Emily born 1862 who is in Chiselhurst in 1891 Census as a Servant.
