  I am looking for a John Robinson  on the 1881 Census for

  Eccles /Barton Up On Irwell Lancashire.

Wifes name ? Mary and any children.

 I would be gratefull if some kind person could check the 1881

 for me  and also the address of where they were living.

On the 1881 census there are 1890 people called John Robinson in Lancashire.

Could you please give further information to narrow them down like approx age, place of birth, any known children

Only 7 of the above 1,890 John Robinsons were living in Barton upon Irwell - only one of whom had a wife Mary as shown below.

Since the previous posting, I hace checked the 1881 census for any / your John Robinson in:

Eccleshill
Eccelston in Chorley
Eccleston in Prescot

But there are non in any place

                 Sorry I have not had time to get back to you as I have ben sick with Pneumonia.

i havent found anthing else out about the Robinsons before the  1901 census for Eccles (B arton upon Irwell Census).

This is what I have got so far.

the address on 1901 census was 3 Silk Street Eccles,in Lancashire.


Listed as.

Head of Household  Mary (mother)  age  44yrs

Husband  not listed   (might be dead)

Jno   This could be (John)   age 22years

Hubert        aged 17 years
 
William        aged 15 years

Margaret Ann  aged 13 years

Nellie (Ellen)  aged 11 years

Thomas        aged 3 years

Alice              aged 2 years

May               aged 10 months.

I jst cant seem to find out any more information other than what I have got.

Being in Australia it is difficult to get information.

I would be obliged if you could futher look up and see what else you can find out about this family and any other Robinsons listed before 1901.

I know that it's a while since you were active on this thread, but I just stumbled across it.

I too am descended from John Robinson who was married to Mary Annie White.

Would you be interesed in sharing any information we each might have about the family?

I note you are in Australia.  I have an Aunt from this side of the family and numerous cousins etc who live in Australia (mainly in South Australia) and am in touch with someone who lives in Adelaide whose husband is descended from the brother of John Robinson.

The family I am descended from is that of John born in Hollingbourne and Mary A born in Chorlton which is outlined in Chris in 1066 land's post in this thread.  Are they part of your tree?
