Army Records SHACKLETON
« on: Tuesday 24 August 10 10:22 BST (UK) »
I am looking for the WW1 Army Record for my grandfather Hartley Shackleton. He was firstly in 1st East lancs Regt. No 11805 and then in Labour Corps No 467757. In the Labour Corps he seems to have been sent to Gallipoli. He survived the war.

Can anyone find his record for me, please.

Hi FS, i can only see his medal card on the National archives & A******y web sites. No service records on either of the or on FindMyPast for this man. So i don't think they survived. I would post what you have on the "Armed forces board, world war one"  Some one will give you a brake down of his medal card and possible where any of the two regiments might have been when your grandfather was in them. It might also help if you give his D.O.B. where living and any family member/next of kin for him around the time of the great war.
Sorry i could be no further help.

Is this him with his family 1901 Oldham ?
James Shackleton 46
Mary Shackleton 48
Sarah Shackleton 25
Hartley Shackleton 23
William Shackleton 18
Joseph Shackleton 16
Mary Shackleton 12
Sarah Harriss 66
