Hi Richard
So far all that i have found it that i think

Richard Wheeler born  1833 is the son of Joseph Wheeler and Dinah Wright

Joseph Wheeler and Dinah Wright married 29th Sept 1828 at North Moreton

Dinah Wright is the dau of William and Sarah Wright Bapism 27th Nove 1880 North Moreton

On the 1851 census Joseph, Dinah, Richard and the family are living at St Peter  Church lane Wallingford

Joseph and Dinah had another child (st peter wallingford)

Burial Richard Joseph 4th Feb 1831 poor house(st peter wallingford)

   Baptism (st peter wallingford)

Joseph Wheeler 22 jun 1806 son of Richard and Mary

Thanks Sandy !   I am not sure we are going to find a link with the Wallingford Wheelers but it could explain the appearance of Daniel in Hagbourne without any obvious antecedents.

We need a breakthrough !

All best

...and seeing whether I can find Drapers in Cirencester from the other side of my family!  Robert Draper b. 1819 Cirencester, who married my gt gt grandmother, Sarah Ann Warman, in Highworth c1847...
Sadly IGI does not have records for Cirencester after 1812
