Hi

Returning to James Freeman Goldsmith, he is on the medal roll for the 2nd China Medal, awarded while serving on HMS Havoc as an Ordinary Seaman (Ships No.25). This medal was issued with the Taku Fort 1860 clasp. He was invalided on 13/11/1862.

His service record is available online at the NA.
