Ayrshire directory 1851?
« on: Friday 20 August 10 21:00 BST (UK) »
John McLatchie is on the 1851 census for Maybole as blacksmith at Burnside, but doesn't show up on the Maybole directory available on the Maybole website.  Anyone have the Ayrshire directory, or CD to find where they are living?  There is a burnside St in Kirkmichael.

The 1851 census does appear to cover a larger area than just Maybole itself, right?

A search of the Ayrshire Directory 1851-2 on CD produced no matches for McLatchie.  Searching for 'Blacksmith' produced many results but none with names that approximated McLatchie. Hope this helps.
