James Peter HAINING marriage to Ruby HIGGS

Hi would anybody have any information on James Peter Haining AND Ruby May Higgs They were supposed to have married 1914, they had 3 children Esther, Elsie and william roy Haining (my grandfther). My pop lived with 2 aunties the sisters went to a home i think, because of marriage broke up we were told. my pop William roy Haining was born 1918.   I Am new to this so hope i have posted right thanyou Nicole.

Yes sorry they lived in sydney australia, around petersham, newtown.

In 1924, Ruby Haining puts a memorial notice in the newspaper for her brother, Joe Higgs:

By 1928 on the memorial notice she's giving her surname as Moss:

 I  can't find the Haining/Higgs marriage here but there is a Ruby Higgs marriage to Francis Moss in 1925 in Canterbury, so it seems the relationship between James and Ruby had foundered by that point.

Thankyou for that information jorose.  So she was Ruby Haining in 1924 or just called herself that? We knew she lived with frank moss my pop didn't know that they were married. We cant workout that when the relationship ended the children were split up, yet she supposedly adopted aheap of children with this frank moss but gave her own children up only a couple of years earlier?
I have been in contact with gemini she had alot of info about the family but not james Peter and Ruby. I have just purchased James Peters death certificate see if that states if he was married?

When WILLIAM ROY enlisted in 1940, for ww2, he gave as his next of Kin JAMES HAINING.

He was discharged in 1945
