Edinburgh Corporation Tramways - COMPLETED

I am trying to trace some records for my GG Grandfather - Charles Smith, according to a record I have for his son, he worked as a Tram Way Conductor in Leith which would of most likely been the late 1890s, possibly a little earlier.

Is there anyway of checking employee records for the above? and where would they be held.

I have now managed to complete this enquiry. He actually ended up in London and worked for the Trams there.
