Also does anyone have any information regarding the forebearers of my great great grandmother? She was Hannah Jackson, who came with her parents to New Zealand via Adelaide, South Australia from London where they were said to have had a shoe factory. She was a church organist in Addington, Christchurch, New Zealand.My grandmother, (her daughter) Rheta Stokes said her mother's family were of Jewish origin

I see she married 1891 to Frederick Charles STOKES. The marriage cert would have her parents names.

If you want to short track finding living relatives
try oldfriends.co.nz and seach for STOKES and look for oldest that are living/schooled in area you know they lastwere
then you can send off emails direct to folk asking if they are descendants
