There is a marriage recorded for William Landick at the St Helier Town Church between Aug 1859 and June 1863. It is on page 31 of the index and there is a Frances Terrant or Tennant also recorded on page 31.

No sign of a death for Frances in St Helier but there are 11 other parishes.

Hi  jerseylily, :)

Thankyou so much for your time on the lookup of the 1st marriage of William Landick. :D

jerseylily is there anything on Williams Landicks 2nd marriage to a Sarah, love to know her maiden name, :-\ as it fills some spaces on my tree as my McFarling ancestor married 1899 St.Simon,Jersey to Francis Curtis Landick a son of William and Sarah Landick.

Kind Regards
    Gary ;)

I didn't have a lot of time this morning but I'll have a look for that other marriage next time.

I did a volunteer session at the Archive this morning and as it was quiet managed to find the 2nd marriage.

Frances didn't actually die until between Apr 1872 and Nov 1873. The family are in the 1871, transcribed as Laudick (I have submitted a correction), it shows that Edwin, Fanny, Ellen and Arthur were her children rather than Sarah's.

William re-married between Oct 1874 and Nov 1878, the entry is on page 2 so right at the beginning of that period. His bride was Sarah Curtis - we should have had an educated guess at that one!

Just for the record, William Landick was the son of Samuel Landick born abt 1812 in England (possibly Devon) and Mary Jerram chr at Hursley Hants in 1810 daughter of William Jerram and Mary Snelgrove. Mary Landick's mother (Mary Jerram/Jerum aged 70) was living at Broughton, Hants, in 1841 with her daughter Charlotte Marsh. The Jerram's seem to have been established in the Broughton / Mottisfont area - a stretch of road between Broughton and Mottisfont is called "Jerram's Hill". My great-great-great grandmother was another or Mary Landick's sisters, Sarah who married John Scivier at Michelmersh, Hants, in 1821.
