Charles Bird - possible lawsuit
« on: Saturday 14 August 10 18:01 BST (UK) »
Hello again after a long absence!!

Charles Bird 1881 Census, Medical Assistant in Shoreditch, London - wonder if there is any info. on a lawsuit (medical presumably) for him or his father, Charles Edwin Bird.  Apparently he was quite wealthy and the money was lost; my very reliable source said years ago that this happened because of a lawsuit.  Am not able to consult my source any longer!

Thanks in advance.

Hi

This would be a civil suit not a criminal one.
You could try a search in newspapers. If the case was interesting enough it might have been covered by a newspaper (though as yet there are only a limited number for limited time periods online)

These websites have some level of a free search facility but require subscriptions to see fully anything which is found.
