Here is another Thomson family that I have found on Scotlands People
1901 census Bannockburn.

Daniel Thomson head  age 42  coal miner
Elizabeth            wife   age 37
William                son    age 15  coal miner
Alexander           son    age 12
Daniel                 son    age   7
Elizabeth            dau    age   5
Hugh                  son     age   2
Their address was listed at 15 Main Street Bannockburn

Going further into this family I found out that

Daniel ;     was born in Slamannan 1859
Elizabeth;  born in Airdrie Lanarkshire
William;      born in Airdrie d.o.b 6/2/1886
Alexander; born in New Monklands
Daniel;       born in Stirling 13/4/1893
Elizabeth;   born in Bannockburn
Did not find out where Hugh was born.

Daniel Thomson and Elizabeth Kerr were Married in Rutherglen Lanarkshire on the 17th June 1881.

Can anyone help me.   Is this Elizabeth Kerr related to Isabella Kerr who was the mother of of William Kerr Thompson who died in Shotts Lanarkshire in 1951 (he was my Grand Father). Isabella Kerr was married to another Daniel Thompson, his mother being Elizabeth Waugh

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL ROOTCHATTERS AND ALL HAVE A GOOD NEW YEAR.

Just found that Daniel Thomson who was born 6th February 1859 in Cambusnethan at 69 Stewarton Street Wishaw.
His father was John Thomson mother Isabella McMinn.

Any relation to the Thomson's of Slamannan/Bannockburn/Stirling

Daniel Thomson born 4th August 1959 father Daniel Thomson and his mother was Elizabeth Waugh who married in Slamannan 10th October 1852.

ARE THEY RELATED ?

Hi,
My grandfather Arthur Thompson was your grandmother's brother. So I suppose that means we are related. Arthur's daughter (my mother - Jean) now lives in Spennymoor. I would like to get in touch with you to learn more about your part of the family,

How great to hear from you.

I have a feeling I have met your Mum at family "do's". I am Douglas's daughter.

I have sent PM with email address. Please let me know if you do not receive it.

Best wishes to all

I am a little confused here.

1) who is Douglas you are referring to
2) how far back are you going when you said you think you met my mother
3) I have not received your PM

Hope to hear from you
Nancy
