Thomson (Thompson) Family Slamannan
« on: Saturday 14 August 10 15:09 BST (UK) »
Would appreciate any information on the above family. Father Daniel 1829-1879 and mother Elizabeth nee Waugh 1833-1867.

Have been trying to locate burial places but as yet unsuccessful.

They had 6 children, 3 who died as babies... Daniel 1855-1857  Hugh 1857-1861  Elizabeth 1861-1861

I know that of the others, James 1854-1937 my great grandfather, moved to Cornforth. I believe the other 2 were another Daniel born in 1859 and another Hugh, middle name Kerr, born 1864. Any information relating to these 2 lost relatives would be most welcome.

Camelon cemetery is located just off the A803 road between Falkirk and Camelon. It's down Dorrator Road which is the road that runs down beside the Copper Top pub. If you follow this road which is signposted crematorium, it will take you down to the cemetery.

Thank you all for this wonderful information.

Nancy your GG Grandfather, Daniel Thomson 1829-1879, was also my GG Grandfather. My G Grandfather was his son James 1854-1937. He married Elizabeth Simpson and they had 3 children Mary 1880, Elizabeth (my grandmother) 1886-1957 and Arthur 1896-1963.

James and Elizabeth moved from Slamannan to West Cornforth in County Durham where they both died.

I quess that means we are distant relatives.

If you would like any information from my side of the family I will gladly send anything I have.
