Actually I'm in the middle of rechecking the date.

If you want to hang five, I'll be back with the corrections after checking the full passenger list  :)

This looks better:

Arrival: Bayswater 1256 tons
Master: Robert Morris
Origin: Liverpool
Via: Greenock
Arrival: Keppel Bay May 23 1864
Destination: Brisbane  Jun 11 1864
Carried 131 adults (100 British, 31 Irish), 24 children and 9 infants.

AND on board one Henry SHEPPERSON age 21yrs  :D

Do you need the full passenger list?

That's great thankyou! I don't need a passenger list unless there are any other Sheppersons on there. One question though - I don't know whether it's me being stupid but destination Brisbane 11 June arrival Kepple Bay 10 June? Was 11 June an approx date? Also was the date of Jan 1864 the departure date  ??? Ladyt

Sorry, the passenger list is very hard to read so I have now transcribed this from the ships report.

The Bayswater left Liverpool, England 25 Jan 1864, arrived Greenock, Scotland 5 Feb 1864.
After a fairly prosperous voyage she cast anchor in Keppel Bay on May 23 1864, after a voyage of 108 days. She arrived a clean ship.
The passengers were then brought to town from Keppel Bay by the steamer Diamantinat, arriving safely on May 27 1864.
The Bayswater arrived Moreton Bay 11 June 1864.
Captain Robert Morris, and Dr. R. Bargory as Surgeon Superintendent.

No other Shepperson's on the passenger list.

I see that Henry/Harry married Mary & had children in QLD.

I can't see any deaths for them in QLD do you know where they died?

Just trying to see if there are any leads to your elusive George  :)

Henry/Harry Shepperson married Mary Cochrane 2/4/1866 at FortitudeValley. He had four children Harry Dobbin Shepperson born 4/12/1868 and died 1870, Harriet Isabella Shepperson born 29/4/1867, Leonard Shepperson born 19/9/1870 Kangaroo Point died 1900 Waterloo NSW, Frederick Shepperson born 7/4/1872  but died 8/4/1872. We wasn't lucky with his children. Wife Mary died 1912 Sydney NSW. I can't find a death for Henry. Apparently bit of a wife beater (small piece in one of the papers) and ran off with an actress!!  Ladyt

I have a marriage for Harriet in Victoria to a David Eellett (think maybe it should be Elliot) in 1914 but that's all I have I'm not sure what year it was when he ran off with the actress but he did have a bookshop on QueenStreet,Brisbane.
