William Ormond's parents were Maurice Ormand and Ann ? who married in 1746 in Pembroke. (possibly Anne Llewhellin as mentioned in Orielbenfro's post)
You are at least 40 years out ~ the mrge of Williams parents the mrge of Maruice Ormond and Ann Llewhellin took place at Carew in 1786.
There are no Ormond Mrges' at Pembroke St Mary 1711 to 1802 or Pembroke St Michael 1711 to 1795. Since I have transcribed all the Parish registers for Bapt, Mrge and Burial 1711 to the 1950's for both you can take that as fact.
The 1st Ormond event in the Parish Registers for Pembs St Michael is the burial of George Kenneth Ormond of Pembroke buried 08 Oct 1844 aged 14 yrs by C. Phillipps.
The 1st Ormond event in the Parish Registers for Pembs St Mary is the baptism of
Thomas Ormond to Thomas and Ann Ormond baptised 31 Dec 1762.
They had a further 3 children baptised at St Mary.
I also note at Pembroke St Mary;
Born 01 May 1785 baptised 10 Jan 1788 Thomas to Maurice and Ann Ormond
Baptised 24 Feb 1789 Martha to Maruice and Anne Ormond
It is lightly that Williams father Maurice that mrd at Carew in 1786 was infact baptised at Pembroke St Mary;
1768/69(rest of the date is lost) Morris to Thomas & Ann Ormond baptised.
The 1st Pembroke Mrge of an Ormond is at Pembroke St Mary when
02 Nov 1817 John Whitta otp a widower mrd Elizabeth Ormond otp a spinster by banns in front of William Lloyd. John signed his name and Elizabeth made her mark in the presence of William Bowen and Dan Shewen Thomas.
F.Y.I. there are no mrge entries for Pembs St Mary or St Michael 1744 to 1748 in the parish registers, however it is possible that the B.T.'s for the period survive.
The Parish Register for Bapt, Mrge, & Burial for 1711 to 1744 is called "The Parish Register of the Three Parishes" and covers Pembs St Mary, Pembs St Michael and Monkton St Nicholas, however very few entries in this register denote in which parish any event took place. I have over the years been able to link certain pages to parish but by no means all.
I have seen it stated in offical catalogues that the register 1711 to 1744 is for Pembs St Mary only, this is most emphatically not true.
Another thing to note is that during the period 1755 to 1770 there are 2 rpt 2 registers in use for Pembs St Mary ~ Mrge only(1 covers 1748 to 1770 and 1 covers 1755 to 1802), I have transcribed both but kept the transcriptions for each in separate files.
For Pembs St Michael during the period 1755 to 1768 there are 2 registers (1 covers 1744 to 1768 and 1 covers 1755 to 1795) in use for Mrge's only in this parish, again I have transcribed both but again kept them in separate files.
Please remember that I was very very lucky and had the full parish registers in my possession for some long period of time during which I was able to study them in great detail as I transcribed them.
I further note from my transcription of the Borough Accounts 1824 to 1835 that
1825 Mr Richard Ormond paid 2s 6d at Michelmas for his rent
1826 Mr (no forename shown) Ormond paid 2s 6d at M'mas for his rent.
Oct 1829 the Borough received of Richard Ormond 3 years rent of a piece of ground in the common due Michmas 1829 the sum of 7s 6d.
I can confirm that Richard Ormond was buried on the 03 May 1850 of the Eastend aged 57 yrs by W.M.D. Berrington.
