Do you ever notice the glazed look that comes over people`s faces when you start blathering on about your ancestors???

Yep! ;D LOL

As for names - I even scan name tags people wear!

At one time it was enough that someone had died but now I need to know why - in detail  8)

Stopped counting while reading the original list of "are you addicted"!
ABSOLUTELY
I can honestly say at this stage it is a complusion
When someone mentions something that triggers a thought I am off with a change of tack to see if it will tie up loose ends!
Can't believe:
how many "porkie pies" I have caught out!
how relatives used to age between census - in each 10 years some didn't age at all and some aged nearly twenty years!
how some people just were wiped from this earth and only found again by accident, but finding them confirms why other people were named as they were
not to mention that since starting here looking up other families totally unrelated - I find it a release from my own, old familiar names

;D ;D I must be addicted if my release is looking up other people's families!!!!! ;D ;D
Kearney & Bourke/ Johns & Fox/ Mannion & Finan/ Donohoe & Curley
Byrne [Carthy], Keeffe/ Germaine, Butler/ McDermott, Giblin/ Lally, Dolan
Toole, Doran; Dowling, Grogan/ Reilly, Burke; Warren, Kidd [Lawless]/ Smith, Scally; Mangan, Rodgers/ Fahy, Calday; Staunton, Miller
Further generations:
Brophy Coleman Eathorn(e) Fahy Fitzpatrick Geraghty Haverty Keane Keogh Nowlan Rowe Walder
