Robert PLANT b 1 September 1766

Good Afternoon Friends from a cold day in Melbourne

Robert was born in Framlingham and married Sarah Calver.   If possible I would like to know when and where they married.   If possible can we determine a christening date for Sarah?

Regards
Peter Rickard

Excellent dectective work.   I can find my way around Cornwall without too much difficulty but Suffolk is a new experience.   I will be there next summer in order to understand the layout of the place and take in the culture.

Thanks again

Peter I have been digging around Suffolk for about 20 years.  It's fairly well documented these days and since I do all my digging via mail or internet I think I've done pretty well to date.

Lucky you being able to go over there... one of these days when the kids get lives of their own.... maybe just maybe .... ;D

As for Sarah... I don't know if either of these are of any use, but they are all that I could find that came close to what you are looking for....

Thought that yew tew t'gether might like to see the Framlingham Archive website cos thet is whully good!

http://framlinghamarchive.org.uk to give you an idea of the town in the past.

Plant and Calver are both names that are found in the town and around that part of the county today.

Pat ...

Every time I find an ancestor,
I have to find two more!

SUFFOLK - Pendle, Stygall, Pipe, Fruer, Bridges, Fisk, Bellamy, Sparham - all link to  Framlingham
DERBY - Bridges and Frost (originally Framlingham/Parham)
NOTTINGHAM - Lambert & Selby
BERKSHIRE/then Hammersmith LDN - Fulker
LDN/MDX - Murray, Clancy, Broker, Hoskins, Marsden, Wilson, Sale

GGfather Michael Wilson born Cork, lived Fulham London - moved to Boston USA 1889, what happened next?

To Karenlee and Pat ;D

Thanks for your efforts.   Visiting Suffolk is a must.   Until I spent a week in Cornwall in June 2007, I did not fully appreciate the villages, the customs and the heritage of the place.   Now whenever I read Cornish records I can picture in my mind where we are.   Hopefully by this time next year I can say the same for Suffolk.

regards and Thanks

I believe Robert's father was Robert Plant b.c.1731, brother of my ancestor Sarah Plant who married Robert Naunton. Robert b.1766's mother was Jemima Bloomfield.

I have been piecing together this Plant family with help from wills.
