I do indeed, a family tree I have gives me details of Thomas and Michael who settled in Newport, Kentucky, and Cincinnatti, Ohio around the same time.  I was in touch with the creator of the family tree approx 25 years ago (stupidly I didnt maintain the contact), but I never really invested any time in the "project" until approx 8 months ago, when I decided to try to fill in the gaps that were on the original tree, esp those that related to their sister Mary and her husband, John Joyce - lots of gaps on that part of the tree.  I filled a lot of the gaps through exhaustive Google searches, and fantastic help from a few people on this forum.... a church website in Campbell County, Kentucky, threw up lots of names, baptisms, marriages etc for the Joyces. St Josephs New cemetery in Cincinnati has a plot/section where a lot of the Tierneys are buried so that was equally informative. I dip in and out of the project, and it will be next May/June before I can commit serious time to it.  In reality, I need to speak to someone on the US side....especially the person who put the tree together in the early 1980s (pre internet, email etc - a fantastic achievement at the time).  Are you familiar with the surname, location etc, or have you some gem of info that you can share with me!

I actually, am closely related to the Tierney family.
I've been really interested in finding out about my distant relatives and when they came over from Ireland, so this helped a TON. Thanks.
Also, do you know of any living relatives of Thomas or Michael?

I am also looking for  my great grandfather  Martin Tierney, b. Oct. 15, 1855 who was married to Elizabeth A. Doyle. I have several documents regarding them (marriage, death, births of children, locations of marriage, residences etc., but they still remain elusive in several ways.
Martin lists himself as being a resident of Boston on his Canadian marriage record in 1880; Elizabeth lists Prince Edward Island as her residence, but I have yet to nail down either set of parents in that region for certain after the wedding except for the birth of their children.  They immigrated to Thurston County, Washington State, USA and homesteaded and farmed the land. In any event, they have 5 children: (maybe someone will recognize similarities in familiar names here) Michael Charles, William Thomas, Cornelius, Margaret, and Florence. My Murphy relatives have pointed out that there was a sixth child...but no record has been found.
   I plan to put something on my Facebook page about this family and include what pictures and records  I have. Maybe someone will see the resemblance.  Christine K. Fox

Where in England did the Tierney's settle? I have ancestors from Belmont, County Galway who emigrated to Bacup in Lancashire. I was wondering if the Tierneys went there also?
