William Moore
« on: Wednesday 11 August 10 20:15 BST (UK) »
William Moore, born c.1833, SOM, was lodging at Brithdir Houses in 1861, single and occupation of engine driver.  I located a marriage on the Dec Qtr which looks favourable and also an entry on the 1881, again a very good probable.  Could someone please do a look up on the 1871?

Hi Liz
His occupation of engine driver is constant [1861 & 1881] so with all respects I don't think your finding is the right bloke.
Regards, Roy

Hi.
Sorry to bother you.  My name is Vicki (i've just registered with this site tonight) as I have been thinking a lot about an old school teacher of mine (Alasdair Anderson).  I have read through some of the posts and wondered if you knew him?

I was born and raised in Mayfield and went to Bryans Primary.  I believe Alasdair died in 2002???? do you know much else about him?

I noticed he wrote a book called "A Gothernburg Experiement" and was really interested to get a copy.

Alastair was a fantastic teacher, I have never forgotten him :(

Vicki
