Looking for my BROOKE family line. Starting from Horace Perrin Brooke.I know he married Emma Martha Tarrant b.1829.I have no dates for Horace Brooke.They had 5 children b.England. Looking for Horace's Birth date, also There marriage date. Can any one help?

Can you give us any places?  That would help to find them on censuses.

Thank you for replying ! I have found Emma Martha Tarrant BROOKE on the 1881 British census,she is widowed,her children are listed with her.Horace Perrin Brooke was allready deceased at that time.They were living in BERKHAMPSTEAD,HERTFORD,ENGLAND. This census gives no info about Horace. The Ancestral Paper I have,states he was a Barrister,in London England. I think he might have been born in 1832 ?. There children were born in ( London,London Middlesex,England.& Boxmoor,Hertford,England.) I believe Horace's Dad was George Edward Brooke. Thank you again for replying.

They don't seem to be on the 1871 census, except for Frank who was at school, Christ's Hospital.  You need to look for the marriage of Emma and Horace on FreeBMD or 1837online.  Start by looking between 1849 and 1852.  Failing that, look for the birth certificate of one of the children.  That will give you Emma's maiden name.

The 1871 doesn't help a lot, except to narrow the timescale for his death and confirm occupation ....

Thank you again for your help.Both of you ! Another Question. Where would I find information from 1751 ? Looking for a William Spencer Brooke or Walter Francis Brooke.

Depends what information you want.  Is 1751 a date of birth?  You could try the IGI on the Familysearch website.  If they're not there you'll need parish records, and that usually means the local record office.

Then click the box for "I will upload my own crest" and use the browse button to locate the picture you want to upload from your computer.

Failing that, post a query on the technical forum and a real expert will sort you out

Thank you again, The picture does not want to show itself ! LOL I did find Frank Perrin Brooke,who is my Great Grandfather, b.sept 1859 in the free MBD.Thank you so much. I can send for a bith record now. Horace and Emma would not show ,because there year of birth is to old for the Free BMD. Headway was made, And I'm smiling about that .
The date 1751 is a birth year for William or Walter .
