Hi, a couple of questions; How did you know that William Wilson was dead by the time Jemima married in 1846? Who was the informant on the death certificate? The informant most likely didn't know Jemima's parents personally & it's easy to get the details wrong. I note in your first post you said William was a plasterer but on the death certificate he's a master slater.Interestingly Jemima was a servant in Canal Side, Greyfriars, Aberdeen in 1841 census, for a Chalmers family. The head was Alexander Chalmers.Perhaps you could post the portion of the death certificate showing Jemima's mother's name. Someone may be able to decipher it!
