There are no pictures that I am aware of. Clara was not the biological mother of William Taylor's children. My grandfather was William Schofield Taylor, son of William Taylor and his 2nd wife, Elizabeth Bottomly Schofield. He died in 1942. I was told many wonderful stories of my grandfather but not much about his father. I think there was some tension in the family about his being "forced" to return to England by Clara and maybe a little resentment.
I have a lot of information about both William Taylor's past and even more about Elizabeth Bottomly Schofield because of research done by someone using this site to trace her family - Schofield. We have been corresponding by e-mail. She has sent me so much information which I have shared with my family here.
I enjoyed reading about the census problems but it appears I will not be able to find any info on William Taylor's return to England that way. I don't even have a DOD. Thank you for all the information about the census.
