Mostyn Street Livery Stables
« on: Sunday 08 August 10 11:44 BST (UK) »
Hi

The 1889 death cert. of Joseph Wright shows he was
Manager of the Livery Stables in Mostyn Street, Llandudno.

Mostyn Street seems to be quite long.
I would like to know whereabouts in Mostyn Street
the Livery Stables were and whether the building is still there.

Thanks for any help on this.

139 Mostyn Street is now Home From Home Cooking and has always been a shop of some sort. However, there is an alleyway at the left-hand side that leads down to another building (now Club 147), I suspect this was the Livery Stables.

You can see it on Streetview here (to right of Gresham pub):

Thank you very much for the link showing where the livery stables
must have been.
That alleyway does look big enough to be an entrance to stables.

Hi, I am new to Root's chat so please bear with me.  I beleive My great Grandfather is the Joseph Wright manager of the above Livery stables.  My Joseph was born in 1848 and died April 16, 1889 Llandudno Wales at the age of 41.  He was interred in Llanrhos Churchyard, Good Friday April 19th.
He was married to Emily Anne Butler who was born in 1855 and died Nov. 30, 1928 in Nottingham.  Their daughter Eleanor Louisa Wright, born 16 Dec. 1883, 4 Ritson Street Liverpool was my maternal Grandmother.  She died 13 Dec. 1958 in Montreal Canada.  Harry Bertram, Ernest and Charles were her brothers born to Joseph and Emily. Several of my family over the years have taken an interest in the family history and we have never had any luck in learning anything more about Joseph Wright.  We do not have any photos, birth/marriage/death certificates.  We have no knowledge of his parents or siblings.  Can you help?  This being my first time in Root's chat, I am completely lost.  Do you know of a way we could make direct contact?  I believe we share the same ancestor/ancestors.  I look forward to hearing from you.

Greetings DaveR
Thank you so much for the photo of the Livery Stables.  How fascinating and exciting to see a picture of where my G Grandfather worked.   What a great way to start the beginning of my search.  Thank you!!
Sincerely
